Selkirk High School,

2nd May, 1917.

I have much pleasure in giving a testimonial to Isabella HURRAY.

Misa Murray was a Junior Student in Selkirk High School, where she had a very successful three years' senior course. During this period, I had the supervision of her work in English, and I desire to emphasise tho excellent quality, both in matter and style of the work she submitted to me from time to time. Her conduct was all that could be desired, both inside and outside school. In other subjects,

he was also very proficient, particularly French.

Miss Murray has the characteristic essential for success- ful teaching personality. Of a bright and cheery disposi- tion, she is capable of very sound and logical thinking. To my miud, she seemed to show excellent promise of develop‐ ing into a cultured, vigorous, and inspiring teacher. Her sympathy with pupils is beyond doubt.

I have no hesitation in recommending her warmly for

any elementary post she may seek, when her course of Training in Edinburgh Provincial College is finished.
